Harmony Farms – prevention for the healthcare crises.

Harmony Farms – prevention for the healthcare crises.

Alternative medicine journey does not start with taking your first supplement or vitamins. Alternative medicine starts with you realizing that you are what you put in your body. Diseases begin long before one experiences symptoms. By consuming good organic, non-GMO food and pure water you create disease unfriendly environment in your body that fights scary maladies better than all sophisticated drugs put together.

And the best place to start your journey is at your local health food store. Harmony Farms has served the Raleigh community for more than 30 years with fresh organic produce.

Those who last visited the store five years ago will be pleasantly surprised how it transformed under the new ownership. Current owners Steve and Nancy Long significantly extended their offering from locally organically grown fresh produce to supplements, huge wheat and gluten free product selection, safe skincare and household cleaners, essential oils, superfoods, books and water filters.

Everything you see in the store is totally natural, non-GMO and organic.” – said Steve Long – who has over twelve years retail management experience including 2 with GNC before purchasing Harmony Farms with his wife Nancy, a former nurse and current ND with ten years experience managing GNC franchise stores, in May of 2004.

“We bring the total household shopping experience to a health conscious consumer. Our next step is to open in the Triangle first totally organic, non-GMO café with vegetarian options. We just got a permit from the City of Raleigh and hope to start construction next week”.

Café Harmony will be open for breakfast and lunch. Our seasonal menu will include everything from sandwiches, soups and salads. No fried food and no soda fountain.” – smiled Nancy. “The consumer will be able to choose between fairly traded organic teas and coffees stand, and fresh organic juice bar. Some of the items on the menu will include “Pumpkin Cinnamon Waffles”, “Baked Bison” and “Butter Squash Lasagna”. We plan to open our doors at the end of 2009”.

Harmony Farms brings valuable services to Raleigh community by teaching people how to live naturally and stay healthy. All employees are highly trained and can give sound recommendations to anybody who is seeking professional advice. The store also offers free educational seminars to the public on a regular basis.

And if you are up for a quick spa experience while shopping – the chair massage (Monday) or reflexology and aqua-detox foot spa cleanse (Saturday) might be for your liking.
